El Bodegon Supermarkets Partner with Caridad Center to Help the Hispanic Community Stay Healthy

El Bodegon Supermarkets has partnered with Caridad Center to help the nonprofit serve poor, underserved, and uninsured children and families in Palm Beach County with their healthcare needs. To help support Caridad free health, vision and dental services, El Bodegon will seek contributions from its customers from August 10 to September 30 and again through November and December. Customers of El Bodegon Supermarket stores in Lantana, Greenacres, West Palm, and its two Lake Worth stores will be asked to contribute what they can at checkout to help support Caridad.

Caridad Center is the largest free healthcare clinic in Florida realizing over 32,000 patient visits annually. Approximately 80% of the patients Caridad serves are of Hispanic descent. El Bodegon offers traditional, premium, as well as discount Hispanic products at its six locations in Palm Beach and Broward counties.

“Supermercados El Bodegon is proud to be collaborating with Caridad Center. We value all that Caridad Center has done and continues to do for the Hispanic community, and especially appreciate the work they do in providing much needed medical services to those who cannot pay for them out of pocket.
Supermercados El Bodegon is optimistic that our customers will want to help support this cause, and we are encouraging to our employees to get involved as well. We want to do what we can to help Caridad Center continue the wonderful programs that help our community.” said Gloria Rincon, Owner of El Bodegon Supermarkets.

“Caridad is a leader and champion for helping those in need in the Hispanic community, so we are hopeful that this partnership with El Bodegon will set the perfect example for other businesses to give back to the Hispanic community they serve by supporting us. We are so grateful to El Bodegon for supporting our mission. The donations generated from this program will help numerous children and families in need to receive our essential programs and services,” said Scott Giebler, Vice President of Development and Communications for Caridad Center.
