The LaLa Grant was created to honor the memory of Elaine Sneirson Savin, affectionately known as “Lala” to her 13 grandchildren. Elaine was a vivacious, elegant, and kind-hearted woman whose generosity touched the lives of many. She had a special passion for helping young people—whether it was a struggling college student, an aspiring artist, or a young professional working to make ends meet. Elaine believed that even a small act of kindness or a little financial assistance could open doors to a brighter future.

In tribute to her enduring legacy, Elaine’s daughter, board member Sugar Savin McCauley, and family established The LaLa Grant. This grant is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged young adults (ages 18 to 28) who need help with tuition for college or technical training, as well as assistance with essential living expenses.

The LaLa Grant is a continuation of Elaine’s lifelong commitment to uplifting others, ensuring her spirit of compassion lives on through the opportunities it creates for the next generation.

By contributing to The LaLa Grant, you can help a young person overcome financial hurdles and take the next step toward achieving their dreams. Your donation will honor Elaine’s remarkable legacy of generosity and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
